Nehemiah 7:1-2

Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed, that I gave my brother Hanani and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem; for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.

It leads to salvation.

Fear leads to conviction, then to turning  and then trusting

Pro 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil, pride, arrogancy and the evil way, and the forward mouth do I hate

Psalm 101:3 I will set no evil thing before my eyes

The fear of God leads to

1. Salvation

2. A desire to depart from iniquity

3. A reverence for spiritual things
