Psalm 119: 47-48

Psalm 119: 97

Psalm 119: 113

Psalm 119: 127

Someone who loves the scriptures will have characteristics that show it.

1. You READ them and STUDY them

Acts 17: 11

1 John 2: 27

Pro. 2: 2

Psalm 119: 18

Psalm 119: 97

2. You MEDITATE on the Word

think about them, they should be in your thoughts, have them in your mind

Psalm 1: 2 Meditate day and night

think about what they mean

Is the Word of God in your mind and heart?:

Psalm 10: 3-4 The wicked does not have God in his thoughts

If you read and study and meditate on the Word you will GROW.

3. You SEEK to HEAR them.

Do you come and hear them?

You have a desire to hear the Word taught.

I Tim. 3: 15

I Tim. 3: 2

II Tim. 3: 16-17

II Tim 3: 16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration..

4. You OBEY them– blessing is on those who HEAR & OBEY the Word

James 1:22

What you read you seek to obey

John 14: 23 If you love me keep my commandments

II Sam 12: 9 If you love them you obey them

If you hate it you don’t obey it.

Obedience is shown all through the week & in secret where God can see.

5. You TEACH them.

If you are saved, you teach them. Even if only to your own child.

I Peter 3:15 – Sanctify the Lord be ready to answer everyone for the hope that you have

II Tim 3: 15- from a child he knew the scriptures

Isaiah –

Deut. 6:6-7 Fathers are to teach their children

Jer 15:16 Your Words were found and I ate them,

and your Word became for me a joy and the delight of my heart;

for I have been called by your name.
